During Multimedia Playground '95 the Media Workshop served hundreds of individuals, both public and from community groups. In addition thousands of others saw and interacted with work created by participants in the Workshop. Participants created all of the elements that make up multimedia: graphics, digital movies, sounds, 3-D rendering, and text. Some of the creations of the workshop participants are available for viewing.
Following Multimedia Playground '95 the workshop, renamed the Learning Studio, moved into the Exploratorium library. It has already begun to serve staff members and will soon serve elementary, middle, and high school teachers. The new lab in the library has cross-platform capabilities (Mac & PC). All of the computers are connected to the Internet and compliment the library's information services. The lab continues to improve daily as software and hardware upgrades are put into place. For more information visit the Learning Studio home page.
