PAST EVENT

Fear!

This event focused on psychological and social explorations of fear. A dozen activities provoked visitors’ responses or increased awareness of how fear affects behavior, while our Cinema Arts program, in collaboration with the San Francisco Cinematheque, presented a collection of short films that probe responses to fear. For those without a fear of heights, Damian Cooksey, founder of Bridges Rock Gym, demonstrated the sport of highlining under the skylights—and far above visitors’ heads. Presentations throughout the evening offered expert opinions about fear in various situations.
