Geometry Playground
Visitors were able to explore their sense of space in Geometry Playground, our exhibition of interactive artworks and exhibits (which began traveling to science centers nationwide in September 2010). They could get a whole-body feel for 3-D shapes, test their spatial reasoning skills, and meet the exhibition’s exhibit developers, who were on hand to answer questions and help people explore the show. The evening also featured performances by TrapezeWorld aerial artists Kerri Kresinski, who unwound a dizzying dance on sheer strips of fabric; Angelo Rodriguez, who arced above and around an enormous cubic frame; and Kate Scarlett and Chloe Marvel Light Axelrod, who performed a mesmerizing pas de deux within a whirling circle of steel.
