When is After Dark?

After Dark events take place the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The museum is closed from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. to set up for the evening event, but if you visit during the day, you can save your admissions sticker for reentry during After Dark.

How much does it cost?

After Dark is included in the general admission price, which is $15.00 for adults.
After Dark is free to Exploratorium Members. Become a Member.

How do I buy tickets?

You can purchase tickets for specific days online. You can also buy tickets at the door.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. After Dark events are exclusively for adults. Only visitors 18 and older will be admitted.

Are the exhibits accessible during After Dark?

Absolutely! In addition to the special programming for the After Dark event, all the exhibits are available for you to explore.

Is the Tactile Dome available?

The Tactile Dome is available for an additional $7.00. Tours: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, and 9:30 p.m.
