This April Fools’ Day After Dark event exposed people’s threshold for taking chances. For example, visitors could test their belief in the laws of physics as a bowling ball swung toward them. They could also tackle a climbing wall, try their luck at casino games, and see if they had the nerve to carry out the instructions on a card they were given.

This April Fools' Day After Dark event looked at the science of risk and probability with activities designed to test people's threshold for taking chances. Visitors could consider actual versus perceived dangers while tackling a 28-foot climbing wall. Or they could try their luck with professional dealers at blackjack, craps, and roulette tables as staff math gurus discussed gambling odds and strategies. A variety of experiments tempted both the reckless and reserved.
