The 2004 Bay Area Institute was held in San Francisco from
Sunday, August 22 - Tuesday, August 24, 2004. A reception
at the Exploratorium Saturday evening (August 21) kicked off
the conference.
This year, the Bay Area Institute consisted of over 40 parallel
sessions, led by researchers, practitioners, and CILS graduate
students. Sessions explored a wide variety of themes, including:
