Norman
Tuck was born in Pennsylvania
in 1945, and has always
been interested in mechanical
devices, especially automobiles.
He received a B.F.A. in
sculpture from the University
of Florida and an M.F.A.
from Pennsylvania State
University. His first major
solo exhibit was at O.K.
Harris Gallery in New York
in 1974. His work has been
shown extensively since
then.
Tuck
has an ongoing interest
in clocks and clockwork
mechanisms and has made
several large, public,
pendulum clocks as well
as sculptural works based
on traditional clockwork
mechanisms. He is presently
pursuing an interest in
electricity.
