This exhibit consists of magnified live chick heart cells. By using a focus knob, one is able to notice the unique rhythm of these beating heart cells. Each heart muscle cell beats at its own unique rate or cycle. When two heart cells touch, they form a bond called an electrical junction, similar to humans.
