Eddy Currents

Eddy Currents consists of a strong electromagnet through which one can drop different disks. Some disks fall freely through the magnetic field while others fall slowly. Magnetic objects dropped down the metal tube create changing magnetic fields that push the electrons in circular, eddy-like currents. These eddy currents have their own magnetic field that opposes the fall of the magnet.
