Frozen Hand

When an observer passes his hand over the photocells, he triggers a strobe lamp that illuminates his hand. When the light is off, the box is dim and it is difficult to see his hand at all. Because he only sees his hand clearly in one place, the place where it triggers the strobe, his hand seems to be standing still in that position.
