In
Reach For It, a series of sticks are loosely suspended
in a table top so that they stick out top and bottom.
Visitors look through a pair of prism glasses that transmute
the standard view of the world while trying to reach
under the table for one designated stick. The shift
in the visual field created by the prism initially renders
the task difficult; but presently the eye-brain apparatus
adjusts to the new situation and the task becomes easier.
