Turbo-Flora is part of artist in residence Christian Schiess' "Cyber Flower Series." It is a luminous, kinetic art piece that creates beautiful floral/light patterns. It has internal controls that allow preset variations in speed, color intensity, "petal patterns" and other effects. The scientific phenomena demonstrated include electric gas discharge, variation of discharge voltage, frequency and capacitance, after-image and other perception effects.
