whirling watcher
illusion - seeing motion

Whirling Watcher consists of a disc shaped Zoetrope (referred to as a spinner) with different subjects to view. The back of the spinner has a running horse sequence that can be viewed with the mirror mounted on the exhibit. There is also a water dripper, and a rotating disc with a pattern on it that can be seen with the spinner. (The slotted spinner acts like a strobe to freeze repetitive motion.)
