Pendulum / Relative Motion
(pendulums and phase play)

Every motion you see is relative to your point of view. This exhibit uses the back-and-forth motion of two pendulums-a table that swings to and fro and a pointer that swings right to left-to create illusions of circular, diagonal, and elliptical motion.
