FIRST CONTACT 03:03:29 Pacific
This close-up image of the sun was actually taken about thirty-five minutes after first contact (03:38 PST) when our satellite link was first available. First contact is when the moon first "touches" the sun. A few passing clouds gave our audiences a scare.
