Ah,
the waning days of summer (in the Northern Hemisphere) --

could one ask?

IMAGING STATION ENHANCED WITH NEW IMAGES, STORIES, AND CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
http://www.exploratorium.edu/imaging_station/
Our Microscope
Imaging Station Web site has some of the highest quality images available anywhere,
and they're freely available for educational use. Recently, we've made several
improvements and additions to this site. You'll find feature stories and images
about early embryo development, blood and the immune system, and stem cells and
cell differentiation. Each of these stories also highlights scientific research
through interviews with scientists working in those fields.
New imaged-based classroom activities, developed in conjunction with participants
in the Exploratorium's professional development workshops, cover topics such
as genetics, cell biology, and developmental biology. We hope educators will
find them useful.
During
the next year, we'll be creating educational resources
on the topics of neurons and brains, cancer, mitosis, and
limb regeneration, and we'll also be taking a closer look
at frogs -- so stay tuned.
The
Microscope Imaging Station is supported by a Science Education
Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Center for Research
Resources, National Institutes of Health, and the David
and Lucile Packard Foundation.
2- EXPLORATORIUM RSS FEEDS
Stay informed about two Exploratorium resources through our
new RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed. RSS makes it possible
for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an
automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
Just look for the RSS image.
