Magnetic Music

Visitors create simple speakers by moving magents near wire coils hooked up to an audio amplifier. The varying electrical current in the wire causes a mechanical vibration when placed near the magnet. Visitors feel the vibration in their hands. They can also hear the sound when the coil is attached to a resonator like a guitar body or when they place the coil near their ears.
