Visitors
look through a prism eyepiece which increases the effective
distance between the eyes by ten times. By rotating
mirrors in and out, visitors alter their perception
of distance and depth: people and objects in the field
of view grow larger and then shrink, move closer and
then recede, as the eye-brain system wrestles with the
strange information.
The table is mounted on a pivot so the user can pan
the scene and select various objects and people for
viewing. A sliding viewer is provided to accommodate
the different viewing positions.
