Even the most modest buildings get a mural treament: This one, entitled "Going To Church," appears on the side of an industrial warehouse. Inspired by an old postcard, it was painted by local high school art teacher, Pat Brignac. [Click for a larger image.]

  Some of the murals are contemplative, as in this surreal portal into the bayou, entitiled "Glad it's not us" It features two frogs watching duck hunters in the swamps and was painted by local resident Reginald Simoneax. [Click for a larger image.]
