The article provides background information about the Institute
for Inquiry and the development of its approach to educating teachers about
the power of inquiry-based science education. The article brings the Institute’s
inquiry model to life through a vignette describing an investigation—which
draws upon Exploratorium exhibits—by a group of teachers carried
out during a workshop.
