Sometimes you just want to talk directly to a Unix machine somewhere. If you are a true turbo-nerd, then you will need an Internet "terminal."

Telnet

Telnet is the tool for you. It is a completely unglamorous, yet vitally useful tool when you need this type of direct communication.

If you have a set-up of terminals that you like, you can save that set. Everytime you start Telnet from this document, you will get all the windows back that you saved (you still have to log in to all the sessions.)
