The Mars Phoenix Lander safely parachuted to the surface of the red planet on May 25, 2008, and the Exploratorium will present two Webcasts on this latest Mars mission. For more information about the Webcasts, please visit http://www.explo.tv.

Spirit and Opportunity, the Mars Exploration Rovers, successfully landed on Mars in January 2004. Designed to last 90 Martian days (sols), the two robot geologists have survived for many years and may continue thier explorations into 2009. Best of all, they’ve beamed back hundreds of thousands of images, many of which include signs that water once flowed on the red planet.
