After one week at the South Pole, scientists Tom Crawford and Jeff McMahon will take us on a virtual tour of the South Pole Station. They will discuss working in the polar environment, what progress they have made, and their goals for the week.
This series of webcasts highlights scientific projects near the North and South Poles. Included are presentations that focus on global warming, the construction of the huge South Pole Telescope, and Ice Cube, an under-ice telescope that searches for neutrinos.
