Icy Bodies
Thin shavings of dry ice are injected onto the surface of a shallow pool of water where they careen around like comets. Tiny jets of gas shoot out from the individual ice fragments causing them to spin and tumble as they drift about.

Soap film

Soap Film Painting
Visitors create a large soap film 5 feet square and observe beautiful interference colors. They can blow on the bubble sheet for interesting flow patterns or distort the film into interesting reflective shapes. Shaking the frame can excite various resonant standing waves. And visitors learn that it’s not sharp that breaks a bubble but the different between wet and dry.
