The Exploratorium Book Club Discusses The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

McBean Theater
Saturday, November 12

In conjunction with the development of a new collection of exhibits about the mind and how it works, the Exploratorium invites the public to its book club to read Mark Haddon’s novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and attend a moderated discussion group. This event takes place on Saturday, November 12, at 1pm in the Exploratorium’s McBean Theater, and is included in the price of admission to the museum.

The novel’s narrator, 15-year-old Christopher Boone, is autistic, and the story follows his attempts to solve a neighborhood mystery. A local expert on autism will be present to answer your questions about the character, autism, and related issues. After the discussion, the public is invited to explore new exhibit prototypes about attention, emotion, and judgment in the museum’s developing Mind area.
