Family Investigation Workshops: Cow Eye Dissection - September 2012

Family Investigation Workshops: Cow Eye Dissection
Saturday, September 1, 2012, 2 - 4 pm
Saturday, September 8, 2 - 4 pm

You may have  seen the famous cow eye dissections at the Exploratorium -  now you’ll have a chance to go behind the scenes and dissect one yourself. On two Saturdays in September, you and your family can take part in this popular Exploratorium activity at one of our Family Investigation Workshops.

Chose either Saturday, September 1, from 2 - 4 pm, or Saturday, September 8, 2 - 4 pm, and your family (with children 7 years and older) will be able to take part in this special anatomy lesson on the structure of the eye. Utilizing a real cow's eye, we’ll focus on noticing its details, and learn about the function of its parts.

Exploration, activities and discussions help families learn together through inter-generational, hands-on experience.  Pre-registration is required for these workshops, go to www.exploratorium.edu/membership/programs.
