From Marie Curie, the scientist who discovered radiation therapy could treat cancer, to Rita Levi-Montalcini, a neurologist who discovered the nerve growth factor, female scientists have altered the course of history. On Tuesday, August 23 through Friday, August 26, join the Exploratorium for Girls Science Institute. This four-day workshop for girls ages 10-12 will cover Newton’s Laws, forces and motion, and engineering through exploration of the lives of women who impacted the field, hands-on activities, and creative expression. $240 ($275 for nonmembers). Hours of Operation & New Evening Hours
Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm;  every Thursday evening adults only (ages 18 and up) 6pm-10pm.

$29 for adults, with lower rates for SF Bay Area residents, youth, seniors, students, teachers and the disabled. Tickets available at the door and advance tickets available online at www.exploratorium.edu/visit/tickets.
