The Exploratorium, in conjunction with the Walt Disney Family Museum, presents a screening of the classic episode from television’s Disneyland series, Mars and Beyond (1957, 53 minutes).  This vibrant, animated film draws from science of the time and science fiction to render a colorful imagining of just what life on Mars and other planets might look like. Narrated by character voice actor Paul Frees, this film blends humor with serious speculation and features a variety of animation styles to illustrate what life forms, environments and human visitation to the planets in our solar system could look like.  Mars and Beyond was directed by Ward Kimball.
