The Nobel Prize: 100 Years of Creativity

Closes October 2, 2005

This is the last chance to go for the gold and figure out how to win the Nobel Prize. The Nobel Prize: 100 Years of Creativity, now on view at the Exploratorium, closes to the public on October 2, 2005. For anyone who wants to know genius intimately or gain insight into the creative process, or learn about the history of the prize, the exhibition is replete with the personal tools of prizewinners, multimedia, still and moving images of over fifty Laureates, and interactivity. The show includes two theaters with extensive filmic biographies of Laureates and their creative work, and documentaries of the environments in the 20th century that led to particular creative bursts. This exhibition is included in the price of admission to the Exploratorium.

The exhibition was developed by the Nobel Foundation and the Nobel Museum. Global sponsors include: ABB, Ericsson, Merrill Lynch, Skandia, and Volvo. The exhibition has been seen in selected cities around the globe. Its stop in San Francisco is the exhibition’s West Coast premiere. From San Francisco, the exhibition travels to London, India and Singapore.
