Science of Cocktails: January 26, 2012, 7:30 – 11pm
This year, we’re serving up fantastic libations with enough science mixed in to make you an expert at your next cocktail party. Learn tricks of the trade from some of the Bay Area’s best bartenders along with the physics and chemistry behind your favorite adult beverages. Proceeds go directly to the Exploratorium’s educational programs.
Tickets are$120 for General Admission; $185 for VIP Admission. Tickets include open bar, ample hours d’oeuvres, and special activities. VIP ticket holders also receive access to the Top-Shelf VIP Lounge with top-shelf spirits, special molecular mixology demonstrations- and a few surprises.
Science of Cocktails is a project of The Exploratorium Lab. The Lab is the Exploratorium's young professionals group dedicated to nurturing people's curiosity about the world around them and bringing the excitement and wonder of the Exploratorium to a new audience. The Exploratorium Lab offers its members opportunities to interact with the institution from an adult perspective. Cameron Phleger is Chairman of The Exploratorium Lab Board of Directors.
This program is for adults 21 and over. The Exploratorium encourages its adult audiences to drink responsibly.
Hours of Operation & New Evening Hours
Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm; every Thursday evening adults only (ages 18 and up) 6pm-10pm.
$25 for adults, with lower rates for SF Bay Area residents, youth, seniors, students, teachers and the disabled. Tickets available at the door and advance tickets available online at www.exploratorium.edu/visit/tickets.
