Baltimore-based musician and composer Dan Deacon hooks listeners with strong melodic lines, immersed in a sea of competing rhythmic structures, distorted sound samples, and synthesized and acoustic textures. Deacon will build his Resonance performance around the Disklavier player-piano, influenced by the work of composer Conlon Nancarrow, who used player-pianos to explore music unplayable by human hands.
