"Now I'll move over here into this fuzzy shadow, and I'll make an image of the sun with my hand again. Now you can see an image of the sun with an image of the tree in front of it. You can see the silhouette of the branches in front of the sun in the same way that you can see the silhouette of the moon in front of the sun in a partial eclipse. Of course, it's upside-down - and also left-right reversed.
