SF Richmond District temp furnished room incl util/DSL non-smoking

We have a furnished guest room available during the dates June 12th to July 23rd..  Rent includes all the utilities, DSL, DirecTv (in each bedroom), food for your self-prepared breakfast, household and food staples, linens, and washer /dryer in the flat.

This room typically appeals to visitors, interns and others here for short term work assignments, and newcomers to SF for short stays while visiting or apartment hunting.

We're in the Richmond District (near 20th Ave./ California) which is a quick ride from here to the Exploratorium on the #28 bus.  We have a guest room for one quiet non-smoking person for short term stays only.  The guest room is fully furnished including a twin sized day bed (with linens provided), dresser, desk, chairs, and TV/VCR.   We have a shared computer with DSL internet in the family room  as well as a RJ45 jack in the guest room for your own computer, a washer/dryer in the flat and you'll have full use of our fully equipped kitchen -and use of all household and kitchen staples and seasonings which are here plus typical American food (coffee, tea, bread, eggs, cereal, milk, juice, etc.) for your self prepared breakfast.  We have cupboard and shelf space for you in the kitchen, refrigerator and bathroom.  We do ask that you pick up/clean up after yourself.

We're quiet, considerate non-smokers with no pets, college educated professionals, moderately left of center.50+F Chicago MBA transplanted many moons ago (seasonal tax acct who enjoys reading, cooking, multi-cultural travel and visitors, volunteering, surfing the net, classical music.),  22M  McGill math grad from Vancouver, BC (very busy computer/ video game programmer  who surfs the net, reads, writes,  cooks), 23F Ohio State Business grad  (accountant working at a big CPA firm and exploring the city in her rare spare time).  We are straight, tolerant, partly vegetarian, but not compulsive about what others eat.  This is a warm, friendly live-and-let-live, quiet, no drugs, no-420, no-drama household where you can be as collegial or separate as you like.

The guest room is a converted living room with shoji screens to divide the room into a bedroom area (described above) and a separate sitting area, both for your exclusive use.  The overall size of the room is 16 ft x 24 ft, with the bedroom area 16 x 10 and the sitting area 16 x 14.  This room is separated from the rest of the flat by a wide entry/hall area so you will have plenty of privacy.   There is a shared bathroom (with shower over tub), but two of the bedrooms have sinks so there is little contention for the bathroom.  We also have a large family room/ dining room and two of the bedrooms share a sunroom so there's plenty of other living space when the guest/living room is occupied.  Please note: this is an upper flat in a 1920's building with high ceilings so the plus is lots of light and no one walking overhead but the minus is two long flights of stairs.

Besides the #28 bus between here and the Exploratorium, there is good bus service (roughly half an hour) to downtown, including an express bus (bus route #1x) on California (1.5 block walk) and also on Geary (bus route #38x) (2 block walk).  There are cross town buses to the Sunset/SFSU and Marina/Golden Gate Bridge nearby (#28-19th Ave, #29-Sunset).  Here are links  to MUNI to see the bus schedules and routes.  http://www.sfmuni.com/home/home50.htm and http://www.transitinfo.org/schedules/allroutes.asp?cid=SF&image2.x=15&image2.y=8      If you drive, you probably already know that parking in San Francisco is difficult.  In our neighborhood, it is not nearly the problem that it is in the dense neighborhoods closer in.  You can usually find a space within 2 blocks.

Our street is a quiet side street with little traffic.  There are plenty of choices for groceries nearby (Albertsons, Cala with Safeway a bit farther) , with neighborhood produce shops, banks and general shopping on the Geary and Clement business sections, and lots of variety in restaurants, coffee houses, etc. a short walk, drive, or bus ride away.  We are between the Presidio and Golden Gate Park and about 2 miles from the ocean. Heres a link to info about SF neighborhoods.  Were in the middle, so read about both the Inner and Outer Richmond Districts >> http://www.sfgate.com/traveler/guide/sf/neighborhoods/

Rent is normally $275/first week, $175/wk there after.  Rent includes the food, utilities, DSL, DirecTv, linens and staples as mentioned above.  For the specific dates of the teacher institute, June 26 - July 23, 4 weeks, it would be $800.
