Exploratorium, Pier 15
Note: For members only
Here in San Francisco, the ground under our feet is constantly on the move. Join Exploratorium educator Ken Finn, as we visit spots around town where exposed rocks and city views reveal the tale of an active earth. Touch the stuff of the earth's crust, visit million-year-old microbes, and enjoy some edible, hands-on activities along the way. The walk is 2-3 miles with some hills—wear comfortable walking shoes.
Preregistration is required. The deadline to sign up for any excursion is noon on the day before the excursion. Once you are registered, you’ll be contacted by our program staff regarding details such as where to meet.
