Now in its 17th iteration, the Exploratorium Teachers Institute Film Festival dives into the deluge of educational, experimental, and outright fun visual content illuminating the principles of science. Hosts and Exploratorium senior science educator Eric Muller and senior scientist Paul Doherty guide through clips that range from documents of ill-advised home experiments, to jaw-dropping natural phenomena, back to beloved television characters experiencing many-a let down at the hands of science. Organized by theme, Muller and Doherty explain the fundamentals at work in each clip, pointing out fact, fiction, and extraordinary science in action.
