Satellite Orbit Simulation

SATELLITE ORBIT SIMULATION allows visitors to add or subtract velocity from a satellite initially in low earth orbit and observe the resulting orbit. One nice challenge is to try and put the satellite into a circular geosynchronous orbit. The satellite leaves a trail on the display to make orbits easier to see and adjust. This exhibit shows the elliptical shape of orbits.
