SOAP BUBBLES, three wire forms are dipped into a soapy bath at the
push of a button. Shortly after they are raised, bands of color
start to appear in the soap films. Interference causes the white
light to be filtered into colors as it reflects from the front and
back of the soap film. Where the front and back reflections in a
particular wavelength interfere so as to cancel each other out,
that color is subtracted from the spectrum. The colors begin to
disappear as the soap film gets thinner, until it finally bursts.
