TOUCH THE SPRING
shows you a very convincing real image of a spring, which you can see
but not touch. A large concave spherical mirror forms the image of a
steel spring concealed under the platform where its image appears. You
can further surprise your senses by shining a penlight on the image
of the spring. A diagram on the exhibit shows where the real object
is and illustrates how the light is reflected from the actual spring
to your eye.
