Chris Foster is the Executive Vice President and CFO for PG&E, overseeing the audit, accounting, financial planning, investor relations, treasury, and tax functions.
Foster previously led PG&E’s efforts to implement the company’s strategy by advancing R&D pilot projects related to grid modernization and distributed energy resources, such as battery storage and electric vehicles.
Prior to PG&E, Foster worked at a Washington, D.C., law and consulting firm, in the energy, climate, and environment practice. He also worked on Capitol Hill for a decade, and served in senior roles for multiple members of Congress and congressional committees, with a focus on energy and healthcare policy.
Foster has also volunteered for Bread for the City, a social services agency and at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center, a nonprofit that offers therapeutic horse rides to disabled children.
Foster graduated with a B.A. from Michigan State University with a focus on political theory and constitutional democracy.
