Science writer Pearl Tesler has worked at the Exploratorium since 1996, creating museum exhibits, multimedia web sites, activities, experiments, apps, articles, and books, including The Math Explorer and The Brain Explorer. A physicist with a focus in optics, she earned physics degrees from Bryn Mawr College and the University of Colorado at Boulder, and currently teaches physics at City College of San Francisco. She has a passion for things that roll, especially bicycles, and has ridden across the United States and Europe. She can fix a bike flat, blindfolded, in under 3 minutes.
