Jane Wolff is an artist, landscape architect, and educator. She is currently working with the Exploratorium on a project called Invisible Dynamics, which invites artists and scientists to traverse the natural and urban terrains of the Bay Area, bringing hidden systems to light. As an artist and researcher on this project, Jane Wolff is exploring ways to connect people to the environment of the bay. She has done a lot of work about water in California in the past. In 2003 she published ‘Delta Primer: a field guide to the California Delta,' to generate interest in this highly contested and crucial area of land, about which most people know very little.
In this program, Jane Wolff talks about what inspires her to explore what most people ignore, the strange beauty of decay, and what she’s doing with the Invisible Dynamics project here at the Exploratorium.
