SESI Lab
Promoting the connection between artistic, scientific, and technological processes.
A division of the National Confederation of Industry, SESI is a national NGO dedicated to the education, health, and well-being of industrial workers and their families across the country. SESI maintains a network of 1,300+ schools throughout Brazil for youth and continuing education, as well as libraries, theaters, health services, publishing, cultural spaces, and more. The Exploratorium is partnering with SESI to develop SESI Lab, which will be a new center of learning, prominently located in the heart of the nation's capital.
This dynamic learning space will promote the connection between arts, sciences, and technology through an interdisciplinary and creative educational approach. SESI Lab aims to be an agent of innovation and social transformation that reinvents the way in which people access and produce knowledge, and to inspire a sense of agency in shaping possible futures. In partnership with SESI, the Exploratorium is integrating our complementary approaches to teaching and learning to develop the spaces, exhibitions, and programs.
SESI Lab opened in the fall of 2022.
