Professional Development Resources
We have identified various high-quality, tinkering-facilitation practices that support STEM-rich learning across the afterschool sites where we teach and conduct research. We have created collections of resources—including both original ones we developed as well as those drawn from Network partners—to support the professional development of afterschool facilitators around themes such as tinkering, asset-based pedagogy, and iteration and drafts. We have also identified other themes important in equity-oriented pedagogy that we will be adding to this webpage. This page of professional-development resources will be continuously under construction as we add more resources. We hope that the suites of resources we offer here will help educators and program designers strengthen their practices.
