Since our founding in 1969, the Exploratorium has created learning experiences that propel self-driven, learner-centered, and active investigation of the world around us. We believe that learning is joyful and lifelong, and we’re committed to engaging educators by providing tools for teachers and learners such as our Summer Institute that trains teachers in inquiry-based pedagogy, our NGSS Professional Learning Workshops, and our collection of Science Snacks, a collection of online instructions to create science learning experiences using inexpensive, readily available materials.
