The Studio for Public Spaces partnered with PWP Landscape Architecture to support the design of attractions at Jewel Changi Airport’s Canopy Park.

A San Leandro plaza has new seating and interactive chimes.

For this experiment in social space-making, we paired playful, moveable seating with hints on people-watching and how to observe the interesting human interactions that occur.

Fort Mason

At this site, our first major outdoors installation, the exhibits encourage visitors to become expert noticers of the natural and built world.

Wave Wall

Fronting the LIGO Science Center, this wall of magnetically-coupled rods is driven by the wind. It self-organizes into large, rippling wave forms.

Emeryville Public Market

Exhibits on wind, sand, history, and sustainability turn a trip to a local shopping center into a rich exploration of place.

Presidio Gateway

Working with CMG Architecture, SPS helped develop conceptual designs and programming for 10 acres of new parkland in San Francisco's Presidio.
