Based in Los Angeles, Tristan Duke has a background in photography and holography, and a deep interest in the science of optics and visual perception. Since 2008 he has been pioneering the development of hand-drawn holography as a creative medium.

Gas Model is a transparent plastic cylinder with bouncing balls activated by a vibrating plate. This exhibit demonstrates the properties of gas molecules, which gain energy when heated.
This exhibit uses a geared motor to swing a specially designed piling out of the water so that visitors can examine it in detail. An accompanying legend identifies the intertidal zones on the piling and the species of plant and animal life occupying this unique shoreline environment.

Before joining the Exploratorium in 2009, she spent 20 years as an astrophysics researcher and science educator at the University of California, Berkeley, Space Sciences Laboratory.
Brett Cook is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who uses creative practices to transform outer and inner worlds of being.
Ekene Ijeoma’s interactive installation invites you to connect physically and energetically with others. Ijeoma uses a human phenomenon—your body is around 60% salty water, making it a conductor of electricity—to illuminate Peacemaker (2021) and activate networks of care.
