Thank you for joining us for our second annual Wonder Funday fundraiser! On November 4, 2018, families explored the world through music, food, and interactive fun, and raised over $190,000 for the museum's youth education programs. We look forward to seeing you at next year's event.
A special screening of National Geographic's new globe-spanning documentary Science Fair was followed by an interactive conversation with the filmmakers and cast members led by a journalist from The New York Times.
Musical instruments from around the world were made with the Exploratorium’s Explorables team alongside Wonder Funday Junior Explorer Committee members.
Guests showed off their best dance moves listening to live tunes by the folksy Alegre Sisters.
We had a gastronomic celebration with kid-approved food and adult-friendly craft cocktails with international flair.
Favorite family moments were captured in themed photo booths. And we had even more surprises curated by Exploratorium scientists and local businesses.
This unique Exploratorium fundraiser helps support the museum's youth education programs, which provide experiential learning opportunities in a variety of settings, from classrooms to after-school programs to virtual spaces. A portion of each ticket was tax-deductible.
