I am a visual artist and ever an advocate for creativity and hands-on learning. My experience leading out-of-school arts programs and working within community development in places as varied as Seattle, WA and Leogane, Haiti instilled in me a commitment to create equitable opportunities for all people to develop as creators of personally meaningful endeavors and as contributors in their community. I came to the Exploratorium in 2015 because I found it to be a place where developing one’s creativity, curiosity, and self-efficacy were valued and happening. I wear many hats around the Exploratorium, getting to participate in all kinds of fantastic projects. Within the Tinkering Studio, I can be found facilitating activities with visitors, coordinating PD workshops, and participating in activity development.
