Tinkering Our Work: Tinkering4All

Across the globe countries are grappling with the future of education, creativity and innovation. The world-wide COVID pandemic has accelerated this reimagining as we grapple with how best to accelerate human understanding, creativity and innovation in the 21st Century.  As part of this conversation we are rethinking not only how to deliver education but what should that education look like. There is an emerging consensus that we need to build life-long learning mindsets and skills that will enable all of us to thrive in a dynamic  and uncertain future.

We know the skills that Tinkering develops - creative problem solving and a learners mindset - are the core skills that people of all ages, backgrounds and nations will need to thrive, succeed and build brighter futures for their communities.  Rooted in a commitment to creating low floors, wide walls and high ceilings for learning, Tinkering is a powerful education innovation and approach to life-long learning that can ignite this potential in ALL of us around the world.  The good news is that across the globe numerous organizations and institutions are engaging in Tinkering, building the pedagogy and practice of Tinkering and developing powerful proof points.  Now is the time to build a global movement that can scale impact and deliver on the promise of Tinkering for all ages, backgrounds and nations to accelerate human understanding, creativity and innovation in the 21st Century.  

The first phase of this effort includes expanding our global community, including a platform and partner network to support learning, adoption and expansion of Tinkering, as the foundation for a Global Tinkering4All Movement.  Core elements of this work will include creating an ongoing learning community, providing foundational materials and open source content that supports new Tinkering partners, and drives stronger implementation and greater scale.  If you care about igniting human potential to accelerate understanding, creativity and innovation in the 21st Century, then join us in building a Global Tinkering4All Movement.
