Tinkering Tinkerer: Jason “Jay” Broemmel

Jay is a metal fabricator who builds mutant bicycles. A native of the Central Valley town of Reedley, he moved to San Francisco in 1993. A member of Kal Spelletich's machine/fire art collective Seemen, now Kaltek, since 1994. Jay joined bicycle club Cyclecide in 1998 and helped build many of their pedal powered carnival rides. He co-produced & directed The Loaded Warrior, a short spoof of The Road Warrior in 2008 (watch it on youtube).
